Guest-starring That Chick with the Voice
If you men can get over that fact, I actually had some pretty interesting things to say on Brigwyn’s Podcast last Sunday. You can listen to it here -

You can visit The Hunting Lodge and check out more Podcasts from Brig and Daewin.
It was a blast, guys. Thanks so much for inviting me! Let’s do it again soon. <3

Just listened to the podcast.
I think there is entirely too much attention paid to gear score to be honest and I don’t think it has any place as a reference in the PUG environment.
I have met lots of players with low gear scores that perform amazingly well and many with astonishing gear scores who range from under-performing to flat out being terrible.
With a PUG, just run with it and if someone continually causes a problem, the Vote To Kick option is there. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt and tend to only look at their gear if they are really good or really bad.
Gear score is useful for a a raid guild environment where people need to be evaluated and GS is a measure of their expected performance level.
But overall, there is too much attention put onto gear score. Let skill be the criteria that speaks loudest.
@Nass -
j/k (Well not really. ROFL) We’ll have to do this again. Maybe we’ll just bring you during “Sweeps Week” LMAO!
Our pleasure. Now just get your guild end your raids just 30min earlier so you can be on all the time.
@Noah
Stay tuned. We’re going to post up an interview tomorrow with Arxkanite, the developer of GearScore. I think you might be surprised at his intention vs. how it’s being used.
Either way, it was truly an interesting interview.
Thanks again Nass! We’ll keep a mic open just for you.
Yeah, I don’t really care about gear score. I care about the numbers you put out and the way you avoid fire.
Avoiding fire is such a basic raid maneuver it pains me to see so many people continuing to remain stationary.
As a DPSer who does what he is supposed to do, it’s so frustrating to see a raid fail when I strive to do my best.
As a healer, it annoys me to no end how many DPSers stand in the crap on the ground and expect to be healed through it.
Brigwyn, I’ll listen to your interview when I get the chance. I would actually be interested to hear an interview with the person who created the WoW Heroes website, which I find is a much better gear score tool as well as a guild progression updater.
Great interview Nass. But I always thought fires gave a power up? /ponder
^_~
Woot! Didn’t know you were back until I heard you on the podcast. I knew there was a reason I continue to listen to those two! In any event, it’s great to have you back.
Haha Thanks!
Hopefully I can throw up some decent posts in between classes. =P
